Our friend, @jasonbugayreyes, spotted the Sunda Owlet during one of his birdwatching trips at Mount Kinabalu. Known for its round head without any ear tufts with broad brown streaks below, this little brown Sunda Owlet can be found in a humid forest in mountains and foothills. Have you heard its tooting call? They sound like morse code to us! 😍
